Louis
M. Rea, Ph.D. is
a professor of City Planning and
Director of the School of Public
Administration and Urban Studies
at San Diego State University. Dr.
Rea has taught graduate courses in
statistical analysis, transportation
planning, survey research, and urban/fiscal
problems.
He is a graduate of Syracuse University and Colgate
University in New York State. He has published a
variety of articles, participated in panel discussions,
and delivered numerous papers at professional conferences
throughout the United States. He has extensive experience
as a researcher and consultant in the San Diego area
for the past 24 years.
Dr. Rea
has conducted surveys in numerous consulting
and research assignments for municipal
jurisdictions and private businesses
throughout Southern California. He
has prepared environmental impact reports
and market analyses for various commercial/recreational
developments. He has analyzed the feasibility
of assessment districts and direct
benefit financing, and prepared demographic
and economic profiles and projections
for numerous projects. Among these
projects is a fiscal
analysis of illegal immigration in
California, commissioned by the
State of California.
